Falcon 9 I GPS III-9 Cape Canaveral Space Force Station “A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Global Positioning System (GPS) III Space Vehicle 09 (SV09) satellite into medium Earth orbit. This is the penultimate launch of a GPS III satellite before the U.S. Space Force shifts to launching the next generation GPS III Follow-on (GPS IIIF) satellites. February 5th-7th
CBAA Winter Art Show & Sale The Cape Canaveral Library The Central Brevard Art Association is presenting their annual Winter Art Show & Sale at the Cape Canaveral Library showcasing the unique talents of local artists. Dozens of local artists will be displaying and selling a variety of original fine art and prints, photography, jewelry, fibers, sculptures, mixed media and much more! Gift Baskets will be raffled with 100% going to the CBAA scholarship fund. Admission and parking to the show are free. Show Hours: Thursday, February 5th, 9am-5pm; Friday, February 6th, 9am-5pm; Saturday, February 7th, 10am-2pm. February 6/7 @ TBD
Space Launch System I Artemis 2 Launch Complex 39B, Kennedy Space Center NASA’s Space Launch System rocket will launch an Orion spacecraft on the Artemis 2 mission, the first crewed flight of the program. NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen will perform a lunar flyby during a roughly 10-day mission that will see their capsule, ‘Integrity’, splash down in the Pacific Ocean. |
